Smokey gray uniforms coming?

KNOXVILLE—The Vols picked up a tough win over South Alabama over the weekend (look for our report card Monday) while the Georgia Bulldogs won a shootout with LSU in Athens. Those wins set the table for a big matchup between Georgia and Tennessee next Saturday, a game that will be a 3:30 pm CBS kick.

Could this be the game we see the Vols wear the new “smokey” gray uniforms? UPDATE: Butch Jones confirmed what we announced at noon on Sunday:

The athletic department has been planning to roll out the new-look uniforms for the Georgia game for several weeks and every indication points to that plan still being in action. Unless there’s a last minute audible from UT (and I don’t expect there to be), get your gray Vols gear ready because it will be a smokey Saturday on Rocky Top.
