ParticipantDo you think we stand a chance with Trey Johnson or was that just some sort of courtesy visit for Coach Thigpen?

It’ll be tough for the Vols to land him but I do think they have a legitimate shot, at least as things stand now. Some think Johnson may want to play in the SEC (he was previously committed to Auburn) and play closer to home, and Tennessee provides both of those things. He does have a great relationship with coach Thigpen, so that doesn’t hurt, but I don’t think that’ s the only reason he visited.

ParticipantWhat about Malik Jackson and Johnathan Ford. I’d love to see both those players in orange. Will Johnathan Ford make an unofficial visit and what will happen with Malik Jackson.

Malik Jackson plays for the Broncos. haha. Malik Brown was offered by UT Thursday and received an in home visit from Jones and most of the defensive staff Sunday. If Tennessee can get him on campus this weekend, I suspect he’ll be a Vol. Just a hunch there.
Ford officially de-committed from Vanderbilt and it looks like it’ll come down to the Tigers and Vols. The fact that he didn’t commit to Auburn over his weekend visit is obviously a good sign for Tennessee. I think it’s a toss up right now with Ford.

Haha! Tennessee could use a player like Ace Sanders. He is firm to the Vols, but it looks like he’s going to have a hard time qualifying academically. He’s likely headed to a junior college at this point.

Shout out to Sab for getting this right. Four-star wide receiver Marquez North officially committed to the Vols tonight.

He won’t be announcing his intentions until signing day. Miller was on campus over the weekend for an unofficial visit, and I’d be surprised if he signs with anyone other than the Vols.

Reed CarringerKeymasterAlso any word on Christian Morris.
He hasn’t spoken with reporters since his Tennessee visit, so it’s hard to tell what he’s thinking. Morris is still committed to UCLA and you have to think he’ll sign with the Bruins at this point, but with his silence, that’s really just a guess. He is scheduled to visit Ole Miss this weekend, and has several teammates committed to the Rebels. We likely won’t know anything for sure on Morris until signing day, but odds are against him signing with the Vols.

Reed CarringerKeymasterAlright I added two new recruiting pages to the site in the last 16 hours or so.
You can view a page with information on each Vol commitment here: http://footballtime.com/recruiting-2013-vol-football-commits/
And a page with information on each Vol target here: http://footballtime.com/2013-vol-football-recruiting-targets/
I’ll update both pages as things progress in the recruiting process.

ParticipantReally want to see Vonn Bell and Carl Lawson in orange and white also!!!! I’ve read Bell is 60% chance and Lawson is only 35% chance. Any chance coaches contacting Lawson after his visit this weekend and maybe get an unofficial visit. Vols sure could use these two and maybe Ford and really like Skai Moore also. Any news of possible S. Moore visit?
