Cierra Burdick Out Indefinitely With Broken Hand

KNOXVILLE—Sophomore Lady Vol forward Cierra Burdick broke the fourth metacarpal right hand on Dec. 31st. Burdick suffered the injury when doing some extra shooting and defensive work. While she is out indefinitely, there is hope that she will be able to return at some point this season. A more specific timetable for her return will be known as the evaluation process progresses.

A native of Charlotte, N.C., Burdick is averaging just over 26 minutes and 8 points a game for the Lady Vols while starting 11 of 12 games this season.

Here are a few images from her game against Rutgers on Dec. 30, 2012.
