“A Tougher Breed” 2013 Vols Basketball Media Day

Coming away from today’s UT Vols Basketball Media Day, here are the three things that impressed me.

  1. Coach Martin said this was a “close knit group”. A lot of coaches say that, but every time I spend time with this team I see or hear a lot of little things that really make me feel that these are a VERY close knit bunch of guys.
  2. “Tougher Breed” according to Coach Martin. The guys are buying into this motto big time, and Coach said this was his first team at UT that truly deserved this title.
  3. 6-10 is huge. We have three players at 6-8, but Rawane “Pops” Ndiaye seems to tower over Derek Reese, Jeronne Maymon, and Jarnell Stokes.
